About the Event
This month's local spotlight is with Julie Bordelon!
Julie Bordelon is the founder and executive director of Southern Screen, a nonprofit organization that curates year-round arts and educational events and an annual festival showcasing and cultivating storytelling through film, music, podcasts and more.
She is also the executive director of #CreateLouisiana, a Louisiana nonprofit supporting indigenous talent and the entertainment industries through the use of grants and development programs. Bordelon is also a freelance producer, consultant and event coordinator, with almost 20 years’ experience working in the film and music industries.
With Southern Screen coming up next month this will be a great chance to see how you can get involved to volunteer or support.
We will also have a short Q/A with Michael Messerly the Executive Director of Acadiana Open Channel (AOC). He will be presenting an initiative to get feedback and advice from local filmmakers.
